Southern California Addiction Recovery

My experience at SCA Recovery was more than I could have imagined for a recovery center. This was my first time in recovery and I was unsure what to expect going in. SCA put all worries aside for me. The facilities were great, the staff was very personable and you could tell they really cared about you as a client and the work they were doing as a whole. Groups were small and intimate and the recovery plans for me were tailored specifically for what I needed and I really felt like this made a difference in my life that I couldn’t have gotten anywhere else! If I ever had to recommend a recovery center for anybody I loved I would definitely recommend SCA. It was a home away from home I never knew I needed!

I checked in to SCA recovery for 30 days after 27 years of wrestling with drinking and drug issues. I did not know what to expect and was genuinely terrified of the prospect of change. From the moment I was picked up at the airport by the staff I felt a sense of ease. I am writing this review now 34 sober days later, and am leaving tomorrow to go to a sober living facility in Orange County. The staff was incredible -- all of them. From the clinical/medical staff to the operations people to the people who makes the meals -- each day has been a blessing and I could not be more thrilled with my decision to come here. It is a lot of work but the staff guides you through each step, and there is a lot of fun and camaraderie as well with both staff and residents. If you are reading this review to see if this is the right place for you, it is. If you think you have a problem... you do. I waited far longer than I should have to get the help and support I have desperately needed for so long -- and this place did not disappoint in providing all of those. Literally cannot speak highly enough of the experience. Treat yourself right and practice self-care; this is the place you should be if you need help -- and there is strength, not shame, in asking for it.
