Testimonials

I was a resident here for one year. To find a trans affirming LGBT sober living in Los Angeles is not as easy as it sounds, so Rainbow Hill was a godsend for me. The house itself is bright, colorful and comfortable, and the neighborhood is great. RHSL gave me the resources, tools, structure, and support I needed to successfully stay sober and rebuild my life. The owners and house manager genuinely care about the residents’ wellbeing, and while I lived there it felt like a home. I cannot recommend this sober living enough.

I had an incredible experience with Rainbow Hill. Being transgender, I was nervous about being accepted and finding a place that I felt I could fit in and be comfortable. Everyone at the house was kind and compassionate and Joey is an incredible resource. I'm grateful for the time I spent here and I would recommend it to anyone in a heartbeat.

Rainbow Hill has genuinely bettered my life, and become a chosen family I hope to hold onto for life. Joey and Andrew have massive hearts and compassion, beyond words contained within my limited vocabulary. They truly care, and care for all those who they cross paths with in a way that has bettered my understanding of what the meaning of unconditional love is. Living here has benefited my recovery and life in ways I couldn't have imagined before moving in. I have been learning so much within my stay at Rainbow Hill Sober Living. I am a trans non-binary, bisexual addict and alcoholic, who hit a really low bottom, and Joey, Andrew, and all of my incredible housemates here have shown me nothing but love, understanding, and genuine compassion. Prior to getting sober, I was essentially dying and my body was quite literally falling apart. My life was extremely unmanageable and I had no chance of surviving it on the path I was heading down. Living here I have been learning how to take care of myself and become the version of me I've always hoped for and never had the foundation to do so. If you hope to stay sober and are looking for a safe, loving, LGBTQIA competent household to live within, please don't hesitate to reach out. No matter your circumstances, you will be met with the truest, most empathetic form of love. Warm wishes to those who seek, and thank you and all the love to Rainbow Hill for being an essential factor in saving my life, and making it a life that's worth living.

MOVE HERE!! As a gay sober man, moving into Rainbow Hill Sober Living was the best choice I could have made for me and my sobriety!! Moving to LA from out of state can be a scary experience and I wanted to make sure that I stayed at a sober living house that was safe, homey, in a safe area, and where the people who ran the house cared about their residents. That's what you get at RHSL! This house is the first LGBT+ gay men's sober house in the LA area. Which really surprised me, seeing how many gay men are in recovery in LA. But the owners are very involved in everyone's recovery journey, checking in on a regular basis, to make sure I was doing ok adjusting to the move and working on my sobriety. The house is super cute amd spacious, its located in a very nice part of echo park with things to do within walking distance. You can tell the owners put alot of heart into this house and it shows by how the house looks, feels and how they treat all the residents. So if youre looking for a safe space to focus on your recovery and build a family on the process, check out Rainbow Hill Sober Living 🌈.
