Purposes Recovery

I had a really good experience here. The rooms were very nice and the house was clean and there’s a beautiful view of LA. There was a chef that cooked every weekday and the food was always great. The staff was nice and very helpful while I was going through alcohol withdrawals. They treated everyone fairly and were genuinely concerned about our health and wellbeing. The program consisted of small group meetings and activities led by different people who have different approaches to sobriety and behavior change techniques. It was nice that the groups were super small because you can engage with different topics as it’s applicable to the group. Some of the more relaxing activities were yoga, sound bath, art therapy. I was scared to go to rehab because I thought it would look and feel like a hospital or prison but this place was really nice. It took the pressure and distractions of everyday life out of the picture so I could focus on recovery and only myself. I learned a lot about myself and what I needed to do to stay sober. It’s been over a year and I’m still sober.

Wonderful program, Wonderful people and great place for me to start on my second chance to life. Wonderful houses, nice cooked meals, wonderful bedrooms. I hope I don't go back, start to finish, I've learned a lot. But if I relapse I know where I'm going, but I hope for the best. Thank you guys for helping me find me again. Out of everything I found the right people deal with me. Love the workers they done a lot not just for me but my family to get us back together

Great place to escape the madness in your life! Here you will be pampered by many different Therapists from Yoga, Breath Work, games, arts/ crafts, walks and group talk therapy that deals with Mental Health and addictions. Set yourself free as Chef feeds you 3 courses a day and relax in a beautiful backyard setting that over looks west LA and the ocean. Houses, bedrooms and bathrooms are comfy and clean. Case managers here take care of all your needs!

I can describe my experience with Purposes as a healing experience. When I was looking for a treatment center, I knew I needed one with experienced mental health professionals in addition to the addiction treatment that I needed. I was able to speak to the owners personally leading up to my stay, and they answered all of my questions and assured me I would be in good hands. The environment at Purposes was very laid back, comfortable, and beautiful in a home-like setting. The techs were very helpful and kind. The nurses were professional. The therapists were educated, experienced, and available, even outside of my scheduled sessions. The psychiatrist listened to my concerns about medication and didn’t push huge medication changes. The owners and program director were present and involved, and truly cared about their program and our treatment as individuals. The group therapy sessions were diverse, educational, therapeutic, and fun. I felt valued and respected by all staff. I would recommend Purposes to anyone suffering from addiction and looking for a change. It was a safe place for me to start to heal and get back to my recovery journey. Thank you, Purposes!

I can't even begin to speak on how much this place has helped me. I have had some very negative experiences with places like these before, and being at this facility has been a live saving event for me. Every employee was amazing. I really can't imagine a negative feeling while I was housed here. I was comfortable, well fed, well attended to, medically taken care of, and everything and anything else that I needed for my recovery. I'm not religious, but I bless every single person that helped me get through my recovery! Todd, Allie, Frank, Oliver, Vic, Yessie, Nicole, so many more I can't remember but will always have a place in my soul. I love you all🖤
