Polaris Teen Center

The Polaris Teen Center is dedicated to offering adolescents a supportive environment for healing and recovery. They recognize that mental health challenges in teens can stem from a range of influences, including traumatic experiences, genetic factors, and home life circumstances. The center has a team of clinically trained professionals who specialize in assisting young people facing issues such as depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, and various mood-related conditions. Additionally, they address harmful behaviors, including self-injury, substance use, and eating disorders. The Polaris Teen Center emphasizes the significance of family engagement in the recovery process. Utilizing a Didactic and Evidence-Based methodology, the center incorporates therapies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Post-Induction Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, and Psychoeducational Group Therapy. They also provide experiential therapies, including surfing therapy, yoga, brain spotting therapy, meditation and mindfulness practices, martial arts and physical conditioning, as well as somatic experiencing. Creative arts are part of their offerings too, featuring art therapy and recreational activities like hiking and swimming. The medical team at Polaris consists of professionals with advanced degrees, including a Doctor of Psychology and a Doctor of Medicine in Psychiatry, along with specialties in Clinical Psychology and Pediatrics. In addition, they have licensed therapists on staff, including Licensed Clinical Social Workers (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapists (LMFT), and Associate Marriage and Family Therapists (AMFT).
