There are no words adequate enough to express the depth of gratitude for the care and treatment my son received at Oro House Recovery. They didn’t just change my son’s life…. they saved it, and gave my family hope when we felt all was lost. From the very first phone call made to admission director Bob, I knew that things there were different, and exceptional. There was a level of compassion shown that I didn’t believe existed. The staff’s level of heart, skill, integrity and caring was over the top. Oro changed my life. The idyllic Malibu setting is complemented by a warm and welcoming staff of incredibly skilled, experienced professionals with the necessary expertise to guide their guests through the difficult early days of recovery and prepare them for long term sobriety. I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with their gifted team of therapists who helped me on my journey to freedom. I spent a little over a month there and I am now free of the addiction, depression, and horrible anxiety I suffered from 506 days ago when I first arrived for treatment. Oro House is a beautiful dual diagnosis treatment center that accepted me when Rise recovery said they couldn’t due to a mental health diagnosis. From the start Bob treated me like an actual human and listened to me and some of the trauma I experienced. Oro cares about building connection and trust through personal relation, I really felt like the people there truly were passionate about what they did and serious about not only their sobriety but helping others get there as well. I spent 30 days in their inpatient program and 20 in outpatient. I’m still sober today and have a brand new job living in Dallas TX with my life back on track. On top of this it really felt more like an undeserved vacation, it wasn’t hard to go here at all.

Alo House changed my life. I came out to Malibu for treatment from NYC not knowing what to expect and not knowing if it would actually help me. Well, Alo House changed my perspective on how to live my life. After living there for 7 months, it felt like home. The work I did there was work I will be eternally grateful for.
