New Life House

We were very lucky to have found this place for our son. They guided us from the beginning, because this was our first time navigating rehabilitation, and we immediately thought this would be our best option given the duration of the program and the living arrangements based on age. From the time we first contacted New Life to today (our son is a graduate from this program and about to move out of the recovery home. He graduated after 14 months and moving out after 17 months.), it has been a blessing. This program not only prepares these young men to achieve sobriety but it also gives them the tools to sustain it. This program provides parents the support to stay involved in the recovery process and embark the family in a healing path (something that seemed impossible in the midst of addiction). As our son actively works the program, we, parents, are given the tools and education to repair and foster healthy family dynamics and strive for a joyful life. We saw our son mature, we matured and learned a new way of life by setting boundaries for our adult child while loving him unconditionally. This program encompasses all the stages of recovery in a comprehensive way and provides a community for them to thrive. New Life House is a remarkable program and place of recovery, not just for those in the house, but for family members as well. Open lines of communication, addiction education, and frequent opportunities for families to connect with one another from opposite coasts are just a few ways that the New Life community transcends the physical walls of the house itself. As the young men work on their own recoveries, New Life provides families with tools to heal alongside their sons, brothers, and loved ones. Throughout the past year and a half, it’s been a privilege to see my loved one work to become his most authentic self and navigate his beautiful new life. I know the New Life community will be there for him every step of the way, one day at a time.

My son was at the breaking point of his life when he entered New Life House. Today I am a proud mother celebrating his 2 years of sobriety. This program has given my son a new meaning in life. With the foundation and tools he received from New Life, he now lives a life that he truly loves. He has a great job, his own apartment and supports himself without any help from us. I am so grateful for his recovery. It not only saved his life but it brought our family closer than ever. My life before New Life House consisted of going in and out of treatment centers sober living and rehabs. When I came to new life I could tell that some there was different. After going through the program I completely changed as a person. My morals and my values now positive had changed from the negative outlooks I had prior. New life changed my life, gave me a future and goals that I now strive for everyday. Learning who I was and how to stay sober with the constant help of the program gave me a solid foundation and community of guys all striving towards the same goal. My family relationships are at an all time high. I have parents who are proud of their son, friends who I can rely on, and ultimately sobriety which is my main focus now.
