Montare on the Hill

Montare was an amazing place. Small group setting. Six is the maximum number of guests. One on one time with therapists. Structured days with time to relax. I had a case manager who helped navigate FMLA and insurance. Someone was onsite to help manage meds. They showed me how to deal with the side effects instead of quitting. Someone was always there to keep me involved and feel welcomed. Outings on the weekends like bowling and hikes. Excellent doctors came to the house. Meals were great and they had classes on how to cook healthy too. Alumni support after continues long after you leave. It may sound too good to be true. Montare helped me turn my life around. Taught me how to deal with stress and anxiety.

Montare on the Hill was life changing for our family. I was terrified to leave my husband in someone else's care . A previous 24 hour hospitalization in our home state was more traumatic than helpful. There was always someone there to check in with when he was struggling. He had daily therapy, which is not something you can find in a typical mental health treatment setting. Their holistic approach, with acupuncture, art therapy, yoga, and other treatments gave him even more tools to use to manage his mental and physical health. The house was as far from clinical as could be, which I felt was important to the residents' comfort. The transition home and back to daily stressors was tough for him, but Lynne does an amazing job with alumni services and he had groups that were lifesavers. I only wish this level of care and model of treatment were the norm.

Amazing therapists and atmosphere. The foods top notch and so are the mental health workers. Sometimes the schedules don’t match but they fill in with other activities. Definitely go again if I need to.

So far so good. A great place to work on your mental health and well being. Plus how could u not enjoy a view like that?!

Not interested in helping people. This place is a money funnel FROM the insurance companies INTO the pockets of the doctors and owners of this company. You will be wasting your time. I speak from a veteran who needed mental health here and was forced out because I demanded treatment to be worth the $4000 daily that Veterans Affairs pays this place.
