Testimonials

I was trying to get into treatment on June 27th 2024. I have heard nothing but great things about La Vista. I was ready to turn my life around. I was going to be their last intake. I was ok with that. The lady I talked to told me to pack a weeks worth of clothes. When I finally get to the rehab I get a phone call from MFI telling me I need to get medically cleared so I need to go to the Riverside office. My uncle's car wouldn't of made it so I got a Lyft there. As soon as I got there I met some wonderful ladies and the first thing they asked was were is my bags for admittance. I ended up leaving them at home. Because I figured if I get medically cleared. I can go home get my bags and head up there because I literally live 5 mins away. That wasn't the case they weren't hearing it. My uncle has dementia and he would not even know we're my belongings are. Then the lady was telling me that the rehab was kinda pushing me aside because I was their last intake. And they didn't want to deal with anymore. Then I heard them talking in the other room about me. I was in disbelief. I started to feel unwelcomed. Once I got medically cleared this nice gentleman gave me a ride to the facility. He said give this place a chance. When I came in the facility I could feel that unwelcoming feeling. I ended up walking out and the lady said sarcastically will still be here if you want to come back. I shouldn't even let that bother me. I really want to be there. I let my pride get in the way. But I still believe that the staff shouldn't talk bad about the clients for us to 🙉 hear. I think if there wasn't such a big confusion on both ends. I would be there right now. I still believe in my heart it's an amazing place. I really would want to make it thru. I apologize for walking out. I didn't know what else to do at that moment.

Thank you La Vista! Very welcoming, with a very caring staff and great food too. I went into La Vista seeking sobriety, but left with so much more. I wish I had gone there 30 years ago. The coping skills I acquired while at La Vista are amazing and I use them a hundred times every day. My gratitude cannot be expressed with words alone. The staff at La Vista will be in my heart forever, and I will think of Miss Lisa and Chris's cooking before every meal for the rest of my life. ,......................................... I am adding to my review of MFI La Vista. It has been five months since I left la Vista and I don't use substances anymore. I DO use the coping skills I learned at La Vista every day. I am getting on my feet and I am living my best life. I am happy, stable, financially sound, no legal issues, my man and I are better than we had been in over ten years, I am not living in fear of tomorrow, or struggling to survive. Thinking about it? Do it for yourself. "You will be amazed before you are halfway through".

I called trying to speak with my mom and I understand the whole HIPPA code but I started my NAME and her NAME so they can look it up to check and see if I’m on her list of people that can contact her. Everytime I call, a different person answers and is always rude, only 1 person took a message from me and let her know to call and tried to give me the number to the phone outside the office but our call ended. I called a few days later in hopes to get that number but was instead told that “family can’t call the office.” A number WAS offered but then that when I was quickly told I can’t call the office like how am I supposed to know and there’s nicer ways to say thing’s considering you don’t know me and I don’t know you. Be respectful.
