Grace Recovery

Grace saved my life. I have never been to an inpatient program before. I have heard a lot about what other programs are like, and was a little worried going in, but it ended up being a reprieve from life for 30 days. I'm incredibly grateful I was able to go to Grace. It never felt like they were just in it for money. I flew in from the east coast because I have a few friends in LA that are well connected in the recovery community and Grace came highly recommend. The location was in the heart of Hollywood but it was a quiet, peaceful, and clean retreat. The grounds were beautiful which was a huge help disconnecting for 30 days. The residences we're also clean, comfortable, cozy, and each room had a TV with plenty to watch and snack on. The staff are what make Grace. I did not meet a single staff member that did not treat me with compassion, dignity, and care. Granted, I was there willingly. However, this did not feel like a prison in any way. I mean, they even had a private chef who was excellent. We were able to go to the gym daily, there was yoga, and we went on scenic hikes. Of course, there were a lot of group and individual therapy and 12 step meetings. I cannot say how grateful I am to everyone at Grace that gave me hope again and the chance to break the cycle of addiction.

Staff was amazing and truly cared about the residents. They checked in with us everyday, ran groups and took us out to meetings, the movies and other outings. When I got there I had no money and barely any clothes. The owners bought me a pair of gym shorts so I could work out and even spotted me on cigarettes without asking for anything in return. They really do care! The houses were beautiful and the food was amazing. The two owners were there every day (which is rare nowadays for most treatment centers) and always engaged with the residents. I now have over a year clean and am in constant contact with the staff and former residents of Grace. Out of the many treatment centers I’ve been through, Grace was one of the best and I’d confidently recommend it to anyone who’s struggling.

I cannot imagine a better experience than the one I had at Grace Recovery. I spent 5 weeks there, and in that time I not only detoxed, and subsequently became sober, but I was transformed as a Human Being. The environment at Grace is ideal for anyone who is looking to be led to the path of sobriety. A completely supportive environment, from the entire staff to the professionals that are brought in for small-group therapy. My detox experience was safe, supervised and comfortable and my residential time there was filled with nurturing and personal growth. As noteworthy as the beautiful grounds and fantastic food are, the most important thing I can say is that if one is looking to achieve sobriety, and is willing to listen and put in work, (that the staff make VERY easy), there is no reason that Grace isn't an answer. I left there with tools that were taught to me that I still practice everyday and a deep gratitude that will last my lifetime.
