While these folks failed to meet my needs as a patient -- they wouldn't even see me, presumably due to a history of prescribing medications inappropriately that caught up to them and I'm being punished for -- but I must bump them up to three stars just for the work of their staff. These hard-working folks were kind, welcoming, and sincerely apologetic that the clinic has a policy that rejects Hippocrates and Nightingale and will absolutely do harm to me. I especially appreciated the gentleman who took my ID and was kind while recognizing pretty quickly that I wasn't airing frustrations to vent but rather trying to get information to help me find an institution that would in fact meet patient needs, wouldn't do harm as this one has by not seeing me, and wouldn't allow stigma to define their care. It is so unfair to make nice staff people like this have to be the front line in denying medication to people who need it when they have zero to do with the harmful, immoral policies they are required to enforce. These were good folks, doing a hard job that pays shit. Let's have some empathy for them. I didn't reveal I was a social worker and mental health professional with a long list of client outcomes that would make any institution jealous because it's fun to watch folks employ their communications training and try to suss out what my intentions are. Everyone there was definitely a pro, but I'd probably make some minor adjustments. Mostly though I wouldn't make those folks speak for doctors and nurses and PAs and administrators who hide behind them when denying care to patients in need. Grades: I give front desk guy an A+, across the board great customer care. Big dude who thought he had me figured was cruising for a C- but gets a B for realizing eventually he didn't and trying to be helpful, and lady who popped in from the back, potentially escalating an interaction that contained zero conflict while saying nothing, gets a D. In another circumstance with another individual, that could be a major miscalculation. Random Nurse or PA dude who didn't say much gets honorable mention for laughing when I clowned the unfortunate and technically inaccurate sign they have in the waiting room saying they don't prescribe addictive substances. Anyway, you've been warned. But the staff seem cool, so when you get your care denied, be nice to them.

Philip 👏🏿👏🏿 Thank you for your kindness, unlike the security the previous day that Denied me service again thank you I was able to maintain my sobriety off of meth and able to get my meds. It is a wait so be prepared but the doctor that helped was helpful compassionate the chick with the glasses who did my intake was sweet and good energy..I thank u guys it's hard enough asking for help but even harder when u get turned down from the Latino security the previous day.idk wat I would have done if u didn't see me..

I went in hoping for the best experience possible. I went in with a family member who was in need of support for SI ideation.The consultation lasted 15 minutes and if most. The psychiatrist spent most of the time talking about HIMSELF and my family member spent 5 mins talking. Like I thought we were here to see you?? He dismissed the conversation and honestly was not helpful. Very unprofessional and unethical. I would give this place a 0/10 stars if I could. I’m going to school to be a therapist myself and was asking him questions regarding diagnosis and he couldn’t answer any of my questions. He kept making the conversation about him which was so rude. I feel terrible for people who come in with crisis. It’s places like this that give mental health clinics a bad name because it shows they don’t have respect and care for their clients. Truly sad.

Within 10 days we were told there was a bed available. We roll into the site & the place wasn’t set up to accommodate wheelchairs and they didn’t have staff onsite to assist my wife in her basic needs. So I guess we were placed at the bottom of their list. The worker either did not listen to us or did not bother to look at us as it is obvious that my wife has special needs. That was back in May. We are still homeless and struggling. They did give us baloney sandwiches once. My case worker never called me never responded to any of my text. We are your basic poor folk. No drug addiction no jail records. I am close to going insane as I have to keep turning down job offers because there is no place I can leave my wife while away at work. The quality of service we have received from ALL of Los Angeles 211 services is poor at best. I haven’t had a shower since July and my wife since August. One would think recovery from a stroke would get a little attention. Nope. Thanks for nothing. Literally.

After waiting almost 5 hours to be seen and trying to speak to the front desk twice, it took multiple calls from my emergency contact for them to finally take my vitals and registration paperwork. When they finally did see me, they claimed they had called my name multiple times although I had been sitting in the lobby and never once heard my name. They also claimed I should’ve come to the front desk to check why I wasn’t being seen although I did twice. Now, I’m still waiting to see a doctor. The man at the front desk (not security) was very flippant when I tried to ask for help each time. I would never recommend this location to anyone who needs urgent professional care. I will never comprehend people working as mental health professionals yet treating patients like they are beneath them.
