A family member of mine went to this rehab in October and till this day he's sober and thriving. He doesn't have a google account and wanted me to post for him. Thank you BMR family and i wish you guys endless success! Thanks for checking up with him constantly and providing sober support even after his graduation. This recovery center is hands down one of the best experiences I have ever had. The staff treated me like I was part of their family. Being in recovery is already hard enough, but they were there with me every step of the way. I highly recommend the therapists, techs, and counselors here, they love their clients and their jobs. I will miss them dearly, and I now view them as my friends and family, I will never forget how loved I felt here.

I’m not sure words can express the gratitude I feel for finding myself here, and if a picture is worth a thousand words, a video of the back yard might come close enough. Thank you all, from the bottom of my truest heart. Truly. Ttyialw.

I didn't think that I would become an alcoholic at my age. I fought the idea. Me? an alcoholic! I tested any information I received about alcoholism. I thought... "I could stop" or "I could drink responsibly again", but 2 years rolled by and I found myself still drinking almost daily with a night or 2 a week getting black out drunk. As a nurse, You'd think receiving patients in the ICU going through withdrawals, needing to be put on life support because of their alcoholism, I'd stop drinking. Although, I Intellectually knew how alcohol poisons the body, it didn't prevent me from reaching for a drink to relax after a tough shift or a good one I hesitantly gave in and was accepted at Bright Mission Recovery. I didn't know what to expect, it felt like I was going to jail. But I wasn't stripped searched or treated poorly. So I decided to surrender, and learn what I needed to do, to get my life back on track. All the staff were kind and supportive of my detox and recovery . When I met Aren the house manager, I realized that his care and compassion for others trickled down through to all the staff. I am proud and grateful for the program I received at BMR. The doctor gave me medications to help with detoxing and withdrawal symptoms, and meds to help curb the cravings I had. He listened to my concerns and explained what the meds where for. Discovering that my thoughts and emotions had me in the cycle of substance abuse. The therapist was so awesome. She helped me understand that I was suppressing negative feelings and helped identify some causes of my alcohol abuse. Alcohol also suppressed positive feelings I could have felt. My life was pleasureless and my motivation was at an all time low. BMR's program gave me a new beginning and a desire to live life without alcohol. I cherish all the tears, laughter, and support I shared with staff and other clients. Eric and BMR staff, my deepest gratitude for all the great work you do here. 🤙 #whenanurseneedshelp #inpatient #detox #recovery
